9/20/23—Accelerating Circularity will be hosting a workshop at the Textile Exchange conference in London to share what can technically be done with mechanically recycled cotton. The workshop is called the “Reality Zone,” highlighting commercially available mechanically recycled cotton fibers, fabrics, and garments.

Accelerating Circularity launches the Alliance of Chemical Textile Recycling (ACTR)

9/28/23—Accelerating Circularity has created a working group, the Alliance of Textile Chemical Recyclers (ACTR), to meet and address the textile industry with a common voice to facilitate accurate information on textile chemical recycling.

9/7/23—The Walmart Foundation has granted  $1.2 million to support Goodwill Industries International Inc. and Accelerating Circularity to develop skills, systems, and infrastructure at participating Goodwill organizations to transform unsellable textile donations into recycling feedstock. This transformation is critical to the circular textile economy.

The Playbook

6/7/23—The ACP Playbook is a step-by-step guide on how to move into a circular business model.

ACP has worked in collaboration with every node of the textile supply chain to run trials that have been successful in creating fabrics with recycled content, both knits and wovens. ACP collected this information into a playbook designed to help the entire industry learn from our approach – by collaborating across the value chain and piloting using the combined expertise.

The playbook highlights scalability in textile-to-textile recycling and helps one understand how to move into circular systems by finding solutions to problems that exist, and identifying gaps to see what is actionable today.

ACCELERATING CIRCULARITY Launches Cellulosic Textile-To-Textile Trials In Europe

07/14/22—Accelerating Circularity moves into textile-to-textile trials in Europe through their European division, Accelerating Circularity Europe. The trials will allow them to demonstrate what is possible with textile recycling at scale. The first trials focus on post-consumer and post-industrial polyester.
