Many brands have made circularity commitments. Turning them into product, sourcing and business decisions takes knowledge that often sits with a small sustainability team. Together, we’ll look at what it takes to move from ambition to implementation.
Fashion Takes Action will share where the industry stands, drawing on its view of the Canadian circular textile ecosystem. They will also explain why design, sourcing, marketing, finance and leadership teams each need a different level of circularity knowledge.
Accelerating Circularity will then use textile-to-textile recycling as a case study. The session covers the realities of collection, sorting and processing, how fiber composition and trims shape recycling pathways, and the gap between what is theoretically recyclable and what current systems can actually process.
We’ll close with an open Q&A and an overview of the learning opportunities.
